2021 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir named #31 on Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines of 2024! Shop Now
2013 Sunchase Vineyard Pinot Noir
From its dark ruby color to its sweet and savory aromas of cranberry, cola, beef broth, smoke and leather, this is a complex and concentrated wine, offering both nuance and depth. The complexity continues on the broad, mouthcoating palate, where firm, structured tannins underscore flavors of salty plum, chocolate, mint, licorice and fine herbs. While this wine has weight and gravitas, it also has a real sense of energy that adds poise and elegance.
Located directly above the renowned Gap’s Crown Vineyard, and reaching elevations of 1,400 feet, Sun Chase is situated at the confluence of the Petaluma Gap and Sonoma Mountain. Planted to Dijon selections in extremely rocky soils, our clone 114 and 667 Pinot Noir is grown at the very top of the hill. Sun Chase is named for the sun “chasing the fog” in the morning.
